Last night at Frog Drinks, about 45 wildlife conservationists came out to learn about the wonderful conservation efforts of the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo! From breeding and reintroducing Guam rails, to working with communities in Papua New Guinea to protect tree kangaroos, this little zoo is a model for how zoological institutions can support and increase in-situ wildlife conservation efforts around the world.
Special thanks to the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo for sharing their work with the wildlife conservation community of Gainesville. Thanks to everyone who came out in support of the conservation efforts of your local zoo. See you next month!
